
Professional Learning Academy

Old Bridge Administration is pleased to announce the creation of the Old Bridge Professional Learning Academy. Academy workshops are open to all Old Bridge certified staff members.
The goal of the Academy is to take the “train the trainer model to the next level.” Workshops will be offered throughout the 2016-2017 school year, running from August through May as a half-day workshop or full-day workshop during the regular school day. Staff will be permitted to utilize professional days to attend the in-district workshops. Two hours will be given for attending these sessions. No course credits will be provided by taking these sessions.

This workshop will introduce middle school Science and Social Studies teachers on the various elements of Brain Pop. These elements included Concept Mapping, Making-a-Map Activity, Sortify, using the Virtual Lab, and how to implement basic elements of the program. This hands-on professional development will allow for teachers to walk away with pertinent information for immediate implementation within their classroom.

This course is designed for elementary staff seeking to enhance their use of EasyCBM data to inform their instruction and academic interventions. Workshop benefits will include an understanding of the Classroom Dojo behavior monitoring system and the opportunity to discover creative ways to enhance minds throughout the Morning Greeting process.
